[Liquid & Grit](https://www.liquidandgrit.com/) provides analysis for leading mobile game developers. We break down popular games and apps to see what makes them work and help make them even better. We are located in California but have an entirely remote workforce.

We are a unique company that hires almost exclusively based on tests or writing samples. This allows us to find the most talented candidates regardless of education or experience. If your application is successful, you’ll get hired for a trial period at the full rate of $40/hour.

### **About the Role**

As a writer at Liquid & Grit, you’ll work closely with a team of editors and analysts to tear down mobile game releases, provide game design analysis, and examine market trends. Your work will be published in premium reports sent to thousands of developers and executives at the biggest game studios in the world.\
\
Writing at Liquid & Grit requires a rare combination of analytical chops, creative gaming insights, and clear, engaging prose. This is a demanding environment: writers are expected to support claims with data, structure arguments thoughtfully, and respond constructively to detailed editorial feedback. In return, the role offers autonomy, a flexible schedule, and the opportunity to work on influential, industry-facing analysis.\
\
This is a remote contract position for consistent, ongoing work beginning at 15–25 hours per week.
