About Liquid & Grit

Liquid & Grit provides analysis for leading mobile game developers. We break down popular games and apps to see what makes them work and help make them even better. We are located in California but have an entirely remote workforce.

We are a unique company that hires almost exclusively based on tests or writing samples. This allows us to find the most talented candidates regardless of education or experience. If your application is successful, you’ll get hired for a trial period at the full rate of $40/hour.

About the Role

As a writer, you’ll work with a team of editors and analysts to tear down mobile game releases, provide game design analysis, and examine market trends. Your work will be published in reports that go out to thousands of subscribers from the biggest game developers in the world.

Writing at Liquid & Grit requires a unique combination of technical chops, creative insights, and conversational style. It’s a challenging environment but a great position for the right candidate. If you like having autonomy, setting your own schedule, and putting out great products, you’ll like working with us.

This is a remote contract position for consistent, ongoing work beginning at 15–25 hours per week.
